Extended Hours!

We will have extended hours on Thursdays and Saturdays from now until Christmas!  On Thursdays, we will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Trick-or-Treat at Our Shop on Saturday, October 22!

The shops in downtown Crown Point will be passing out candy to all the little ghosts and goblins this Saturday, October 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Walk the square and look for paper pumpkins posted in the shop windows!!! Stop by our shop FIRST!  We have goodie bags, coloring pages, "tricks" and CANDY (while supplies last)!

Oktoberfest This Saturday... In Front of Our Shop!

The City of Crown Point's Annual Oktoberfest is this Saturday, October 8 from 3 to 11 p.m. on South Main Street...  right in front of our shop!  There will be live entertainment, pie eating contests, chili cook-offs, children's games and activities, hayrides, food vendors, bean bag tournaments and a beer garden sponsored by our sister company, Crown Brewing!  The shop will be open...  we have lots of fall and Halloween decor throughout the shop to help you bring that Oktoberfest feeling home!  Hope to see you there!



Pet Card Contest Winners Announced!

Thank you to everyone who entered our Pet Card Contest!  Photos of the winners can be seen below!  The cards are available in the shop for purchase.  They are $1 each and all of the proceeds are donated to the Crown Point High School Athletic Department!  They are here just in time for this week's Homecoming Game...  GO BULLDOGS!  Also, two local teenage artists have been working hard creating bracelets upcycled from pop can tops!  They are flying out of the store and are only $3 each!  They donate all the proceeds to the local animal shelter!  A few great ways to give back!



Thank you for a VERY Successful Halloween/Fall Open House!

A belated THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our Halloween/Fall Open House!  We had an overwhelming response...  and we received some amazing compliments on the shop!  A special thank you to all our vendors...  they put in extra effort on the food and decorating!!!  Did you see the handpainted leaf cookies made by one of our vendors?!?!?  AMAZING!  We felt so great on Sunday when we received calls asking when our HOLIDAY open house was going to be!!!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

We have lots of fun Halloween and Fall items left, so make sure you stop in!!! Plus we have some new faces at the counter!  Two of our vendors, Jenna and Andi will be helping out in the shop!  Both are very knowledgeable about vintage and decorator items of all types!  Also, Andi has a background in interior design and is always happy to help with that certain decorator issue you may be having!!!  Welcome to both of them...  we are excited to have them as part of the Girls at A on M!!!

Special Events This Week at AonM!

Where do we start?!?!? As of this week, we are at 100% capacity!  Every inch of Antiques on Main is rented and filled with product. We have some amazing new vendors - from handmade jewelry to architectural salvage!  We are filled from top (second floor) to bottom!

Thursday, July 21
We will be open late for our classic car buffs.  Crown Point will be hosting it's weekly car show right in front of our shop!  We will be open until 7 p.m. (weather permitting). This is a great opportunity to come to the shop if you can't get here during our regular business hours!

Friday, July 22 - 4th Friday Arts
We will be open until 9 p.m. on Friday for Crown Point's Fourth Friday Arts Art Walk.  Inside the shop, we will be hosting artist Chic Popielarz. Chic studied oil painting technique and figure drawing at Olive-Harvey College in Chicago. Early on he worked in oil and charcoal.  About 12 years ago, he began working in acrylics and acrylic enamels.  

While his paintings are representational, he often uses abstract shapes and colors to suggest movement, mood or personality. Most of his recent works feature sports figures or celebrities.  However, he also does portraits and whatever catches his interest. His paintings are owned by collectors from across the United States , England, Japan and Australia. New AonM vendors, Luke and Lola, feature this artist's work in their booth regularly...  See some examples below!  In addition, there will be other artists outside the shop lining the streets of historic downtown Crown Point!

As usual, vendors will be on hand, the store will be open for regular shopping and we will have goodies for all!  We hope to see you there! The Girls at AonM

What's New at AonM???

Open Late Tonight!

We will be open until 9 p.m. tonight for Crown Point's Fourth Friday Arts Art Walk.  The Taste of the Region is also tonight on the Courthouse lawn...  You are certain to find something to do for everyone in town!  It's a great opportunity to shop if you can't get to the store during our regular business hours!  Hope to see you tonight!

Crown Point City-Wide Garage Sale

Some of our Antiques on Main vendors will be taking to the streets with merchandise for the city-wide garage sale June 23-25!  Vendors will be on hand to answer questions and sell their merchandise (weather permitting)!

We will be open Memorial Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! Several vendors are having Memorial weekend sales (some booths are up to 30% off!), so stop by for some bargains!!! Have a safe holiday weekend! The Girls at AonM

No Late Night Cruising to Antiques on Main!

We will not be staying open late for the Crown Point Car Cruises on Thursday, May 19 or Thursday, May 26!  We will be open late on Friday, May 27 as part of Crown Point's 4th Friday Arts Program, where select businesses and restaurants around the downtown square stay open for extended hours and host local artists and their work.  We will have a local furniture artisan in our shop.  He makes one-of-a-kind furniture pieces from Indiana hardwood and reclaimed metal hardware. Custom work is also available.  Should be a great event, so mark it on your calendar!  We will be open until 9 PM!!!

Thursday, May 12... Extended Hours!!!

Tomorrow is the first car show of the season in downtown Crown Point!  Vintage and new cars that have been refurbished, modified and tricked-out come out for the show, parking around the square with hoods up and proud owners behind the wheel!!!  We will be staying open late for anyone who wants to come in and sneak a late-night peek at new spring items in the shop!!!

Thanks for an Amazing Open House!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Spring Open House! We had an amazing turnout... Hundreds of people came through to visit and shop! We had tons of entries for our drawing!  The winner was drawn Sunday night and notified by phone!  She is very excited about her prize - a gift certificate to the shop!!!  More information on the drawing is posted in the shop!!! 

Who has the best vendors in the world???  We do!!!  A special thank you to our vendors that helped out!  Many brought in treats, made donations and helped assist customers...  all contributing to the success of the Open House!

We had such a successful weekend, vendors are already replenishing their booths!!!  Stop in to see more great vintage and new items! We have some additional vendors coming in as well!!! The shop is almost 100% occupied, which means lots of shopping opportunities for you!!!

Check back soon for more details on upcoming events!  With Spring sprung, the Crown Point Farmers Market and Car Cruise Nights (both located right outside our front door) will be starting!  We will have extended hours during these events - more details to come!

4th Friday Arts is Coming!

Antiques on Main will be participating in the 4th Friday Arts for 2011!  It kicks off February 25!  The store will be open regular winter hours that Friday (10 am - 4 pm) and then will re-open from 6 pm - 9 pm in the evening (we need time to get our art vibe going!)!  Come join us!!!

Happy New Year!

Well, I guess it's a little late to wish everyone a Happy New Year, but a new year it is at Antiques on Main!  2011 has been busy, busy, busy!!!  We already have lots going on at the shop!

We have had some room to change things up a bit ourselves!!!  The front of the shop is being recreated and we are adding three additional merchants up there.  Brenda from Settings will be joining us in February!  She will be bringing her beautiful jewelry and other items!  In March, a very creative interior designer will be joining us with some of her unique creations, and one of our merchants from the back of the store is expanding her merchandise and adding a second area in the front (she is moving in at this moment!!!). We are excited...  They are excited...  You should be excited!!!

Something else new for 2011 is this blog!  We will keep you up-to-date on events at the shop, new merchandise, new vendors and anything else we can think of!  We will be adding photos shortly (well, as soon as our novice blogger can figure them out!)
